U4GM - 5 Rare Elden Ring Items Only Available Through Specific Endings

Elden Ring’s expansive world is filled with powerful gear, mysterious lore, and intricate questlines. But some of the game’s rarest treasures aren’t found in dungeons or from defeating bosses—they’re only available by completing specific endings. As someone who has played through Elden Ring multiple times and explored the full range of its outcomes, I’ve experienced firsthand how certain Elden Ring items are tied to the decisions you make at the end of the game.

In this article, I’ll share five rare Elden Ring items that are only accessible through specific endings, offering tips on how to obtain them and how they can enhance your builds. If you’re aiming for 100% completion or planning to use techniques like Elden Ring Nightreign Boosting to optimize your progression, these items are absolutely worth pursuing.

  1. Mending Rune of the Death-Prince

Available only through the Age of the Duskborn ending, the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince is tied to Fia’s questline. You’ll need to defeat Lichdragon Fortissax and follow her storyline to the end. This rune doesn’t just unlock a unique ending—it also symbolizes the merging of life and death, offering powerful narrative depth.

Personal Experience: On my second NG+ playthrough, I made it a point to complete Fia’s quest. The reward felt more impactful because I had missed it the first time, and it gave me a sense of closure with her character. It also added an extra layer to my lore-driven build.

Elden Ring Items

  1. Mending Rune of Perfect Order

Tied to the Age of Order ending, this rune is the result of completing Brother Corhyn and Goldmask’s questline. It’s a long and sometimes obscure path, but it rewards you with the ability to restore the world to a more ideal form.

Why It Matters: While the rune itself isn’t an equipable item, it represents access to an ending-exclusive narrative path and unlocks dialogues and reactions unavailable in other routes. Collectors and completionists often chase this path for its uniqueness.

  1. Elden Remembrance (Unique Version from Ranni’s Ending)

During the Age of Stars ending, players align with Ranni the Witch. Her questline is long but deeply rewarding. By choosing this ending, you receive a slightly altered Elden Remembrance that can unlock items not available through the other endings.

Personal Experience: This was one of the most satisfying story arcs in the game for me. The final boss sequence and the mysterious, bittersweet tone of the Age of Stars made this ending—and its rewards—stand out in my journey.

  1. Frenzied Flame Seal

Tied to the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending, this rare seal is part of the chaos-aligned build path. By following Hyetta’s questline and embracing the Flame of Frenzy, you’ll not only alter the world’s fate, but you’ll also unlock this powerful item that enhances Frenzied Flame incantations.

Strategic Use: This item drastically boosts specific types of madness-inducing spells. In one of my NG+ runs, I used Elden Ring Nightreign Boosting to obtain the required gear early, and this seal helped me melt through mobs in late-game areas with high-risk, high-reward builds.

  1. Mending Rune of the Fell Curse

Associated with the Blessing of Despair ending, this item requires you to follow the Dung Eater’s grisly questline. It’s perhaps the darkest of all endings and leads to a corrupted version of the world.

Personal Experience: I only did this ending once, and honestly, it felt unsettling. But as a completionist, I appreciated the depth of the storyline and how it rewarded players willing to explore the full moral spectrum of Elden Ring.

Elden Ring’s endings aren’t just about story—they directly impact which Elden Ring items you can collect. For players looking to fully explore the game’s rich narrative and powerful gear options, following different ending paths is essential. Whether you're a lore enthusiast, a PvE tactician, or using Elden Ring Nightreign Boosting to streamline your journey, these items can redefine your builds and combat strategies.

From my experience, taking the time to explore each ending not only gives you rare and meaningful items but also deepens your connection to the world of Elden Ring. If you’re planning a new run or entering NG+, make sure to align your path with the rewards you truly want.
