WELCOME to the virtual Friends of the Yellow Barn Studio, 26th Annual Juried Members’ Show

Artists from near and far working in any 2D medium have submitted their best work to be juried into this exclusive show. All work is original and is for sale.

This year we are proud to announce as our judge, Harry Cooper, Head Curator of the Modern & Contemporary Art department at the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. He is a native of Bethesda, MD, and has a PhD from Harvard. Dr. Cooper has published numerous articles, book reviews and criticism. You can find his full bio at

Our on-line show is live and continues through March 1, 2021. The artwork will be available on our website through the following November in Past Events.

Prizes were awarded by Harry Cooper for Best in Show and in four individual categories including, Oil and Acrylic, Gouache and Watercolor, Drawing, and Mixed Media. In addition nine honorable mentions were selected by our judge.


Congratulations to Holly Buehler for Best in Show and Laura Kalick, Michiyori Mizuuchi, Alka Khanna and Marian Willinger for placing in Best in the individual medium categories. Heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners!
